Expert Meeting

October 9, 2024

We met with Mike Bednarski, the Chief of Fisheries at Virginia’s Department of Wildlife and Resources. He gave us great insights into how policies on marine invasive species are usually put into place, and how current invasive fish are handled by the government. We plan to keep meeting with him to inform the policy sub-team.

Beginning ENM

October 1, 2024

Our ecological niche modeling data is starting to come together! We created a map of all current lionfish sightings, which is the "before" of our model.
